Bahrain’s Royal Guard Special Force Commander Visits British Naval Support Facility

Bahrain’s Royal Guard Special Force Commander Lieutenant-Colonel His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa paid a visit Tuesday to the British Naval Support facility at Mina Salman Brigadier Edward Green.

He was received upon his arrival by Maritime Component Commander, Commodore Edward Ahlgren and Military Base Commander Lieutenant-Colonel Gary Whitty, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

He toured different sections and facilities as well HMS Montrose, commanded by Captain Paul Orvin. He was briefed on the advanced systems, modern equipment and advanced technologies it contains.

During this visit, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa witnessed a presentation of military exercises conducted by the British Royal Marines.

The Royal Guard Special Force Commander praised the depth and strength of the Bahraini-British relations of historical friendship and strategic cooperation between the two friendly countries.

He lauded the two countries' keenness to develop these relations in various fields, especially the military sector.
