Bahrain’s Defense Minister Receives New Dutch, Australian Military Attachés

Bahrain’s Defense Affairs Minister, Lieutenant-General Abdulla bin Hassan Al-Nuaimi received Wednesday the newly appointed Dutch Military Attaché Lieutenant-Colonel Peter De Groot (photo), accredited to Bahrain, residing in Abu Dhabi.

The Minister wished him continued success in his new duties. The meeting reviewed the existing relations and cooperation between the two countries, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

The Minister also received on Monday the newly-appointed Riyadh-based Australian Military Attaché to Bahrain Colonel Bradley John Vizard. He welcomed the Military Attaché and wished him every success in carrying out his duties.

In another development, Lt. General Theyab Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) left Muscat Wednesday after a visit lasting several days to the Sultanate of Oman.

The guest and his accompanying delegation were seen off at A’Seeb Air Base by Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Ra’eesi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), some senior SAF officers and the Ambassador of Bahrain to Oman.

The meeting discussed military cooperation between both countries.
