His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, visited Wednesday the General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).
Upon arrival, HM the King was welcomed by the BDF Commander-in-Chief, Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, Major-General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Royal Guard Special Force Commander, Colonel His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.HM the King Hamad was also welcomed by the BDF Chief of Staff, Lieutenant-General Dheyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi, and a number of senior BDF officers.
HM the King, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, met senior BDF officers, and affirmed constant pride in the BDF and its brave servicemen, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
HM the King expressed thanks to all BDF affiliates for the tremendous efforts they are exerting to protect the gains and achievements of the kingdom and its people, stressing that they are a source of pride for everyone.
Those present extended their deepest congratulations to HM the King, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces on Eid Al-Fitr.
HM the King congratulated them on the blessed occasion, and requested them to convey HM's greetings and congratulations to all officers, non-commissioned officers and the brave personnel at various work sites, in Bahrain and abroad.
HM King Hamad affirmed that Bahrain always hopes that security and peace prevail across the region and the world, wishing all BDF affiliates continued success in defending the homeland and enhancing its progress and prosperity.
Meanwhile, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), Field Marshall Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, received Wednesday the Commander of Bahrain’s National Guard, General His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa.
They reviewed the aspects of the ongoing cooperation and coordination between the BDF and the National Guard.
