His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, paid Monday a visit to the Royal Bahraini Air Force (RBAF).
Upon arrival, HM the King was welcomed by Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).
HM the King, who was accompanied by Lieutenant-General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, was also welcomed by Lieutenant-General Theyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi, BDF Chief of Staff, Air Vice-Marshal Shaikh Hamad bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, RBAF Commander, and a number of senior RBAF Officers.
RBAF Commander delivered a statement in which he welcomed the visit of HM the King, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to RBAF, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
He expressed profound thanks and gratitude to HM the King for his unwavering support for the RBAF, which, he said, is a source of pride for all its affiliates.
He also expressed appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, for his constant interest in the RBAF. He further paid tribute to the BDF Commander-in-Chief for his constant follow-up and support for the RBAF.
Air Vice-Marshal Shaikh Hamad bin Abdulla Al Khalifa briefed HM the King, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, on the continuous provisions of the latest integrated military system to the RBAF, within the ongoing efforts to strengthen the capabilities of various BDF units and branches.
Then, a number of RBAF aircraft conducted a fly-past to welcome HM King Hamad.
HM the King, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, appreciated the honourable patriotic efforts exerted by the brave RBAF personnel, praising their sincere determination, round-the-clock combat readiness and distinguished skills to carry out their sacred duties of defending the nation, its accomplishments and the security of its citizens, alongside their valiant brethren from the BDF.
HM the King congratulated all RBAF affiliates on receiving "F-16 Block 70" fighter jets, which are the among the latest and most effective military aircraft, as part of the plans to advance all BDF branches.
HM the King commanded the ongoing military cooperation with brotherly and friendly countries to contribute to safeguarding regional security and global peace, as well as protecting navigation and the flow of energy supplies, in addition to regional and global trade.
HM the King, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces greeted a number of RBAF pilots who were gracing by taking souvenir photos with HM.
HM the King requested RBAF pilots to convey his greetings and appreciation to all RBAF officers, non-commissioned officers and servicemen, wishing all of them continued success.
