Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), met Sunday with a number of Senior BDF Officers.
Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff at the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) attended the meeting.
The Commander-in-Chief was briefed on updates in the BDF during the meeting, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
The support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and the follow up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, guides the ongoing development in the BDF and its efforts to maintain combat readiness, the Commander-in-Chief said.
The BDF Commander-in-Chief lauded the efforts and dedication of BDF personnel in fulfilling their duties.
Earlier last week, the BDF Commander received Wednesday the Spanish Military Attaché, Colonel Jose Antonio Fernandez Alfaro, residing in Riyadh and accredited to Bahrain. Present was Lieutenant-General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, the Minister of Defence Affairs.
Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa hailed the distinguished friendship between Bahrain and Spain and highlighted the ongoing cooperation between both countries in various fields, including military cooperation.
The Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) Commander also received Aleksei Skosyre, the Russian Ambassador to Bahrain, in the presence of Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defence Affairs.
The Commander-in-Chief welcomed Aleksei Skosyre, highlighting the strong and longstanding Bahraini-Russian relations and their development in various sectors.
Earlier, Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), received Tuesday Kajsa Ollongren, Minister of Defence of the Netherlands.
Lieutenant-General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, the Minister of Defence Affairs, and Lieutenant-General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff of the BDF, were present.
The Commander-in-Chief praised the Bahrain-Netherlands relations, which are growing steadily in various domains.
