Within the framework of the keenness of the General Command of the Armed Forces to enhance aspects of military cooperation with brotherly countries, to support security and stability efforts in the region, Lieutenant General Ashraf Atwa, Commander of the Naval Forces, met Lieutenant General Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Ghafili, Commander of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces (photo), during his recent official visit to the Naval Forces headquarters in Alexandria.
The two sides held a session of discussion that covered a number of common interest, in the light of coordinating efforts and military cooperation and benefiting from bilateral naval capabilities in achieving common interests between the both of the brotherly countries’ Naval Forces, the Egyptian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
The Naval Force Commander also met Major General Abdullah Hassan Al-Sulaiti, Commander of the Qatari Emiri Naval Forces, In the same context, during his visit to the Naval Forces headquarters in Alexandria.
The meeting discussed means of enhancing military cooperation relations, and the transfer and exchange of experiences between both of the brotherly countries’ Naval Forces.
A number of Naval Units were visited, during the two visits, to get acquainted with the latest training and arming systems that the Naval Forces have witnessed recently.
This comes as an affirmation of the distinguished historical ties between Egypt and its counterparts from brotherly and friendly countries. (Source & Photo © Egyptian Ministry of Defense)
