Iran and Bahrain are joining forces to boost regional security. Iranian MPs have passed a bill that allows the government to enhance co-operation with Bahrain, Iran's Press TV reported.
The new legislation authorises the Iranian government to co-operate with Bahrain in campaigns against drugs, human trafficking and money laundering.
According to the legislation, Iran will not allow its territory to be used as a base for launching 'aggressive activities' against Bahrain, and Bahrain will do the same for Iran.
The two neighbouring countries will also conduct joint operations to fight organised crime and piracy.
