The visiting Lt. General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief-of-Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, met in Amman Sunday with Jordanian Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Al-Hunaiti, at his office at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces.
The visit comes within the framework of boosting cooperation and military coordination between the two countries.
During the meeting, they discussed issues of mutual interest, especially those related to military aspects and ways to enhance them between the two fraternal countries, UAE national news agency WAM reported.
In another development, the Jordanian Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff also met Sunday the UK Chief of Defence Staff’s Senior Advisor to the Middle East & North Africa (DSAME) Air Marshal Martin Sampson and the accompanying delegation.
During the meeting held in Amman, Huneiti discussed ways to enhance joint military cooperation relations and coordination mechanism in areas that serve the two countries’ armed forces, Petra news agency reported.
A number of senior Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF)- the Arab Army, and British Ambassador to Amman attended the meeting.
