His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, inaugurated Latrun Military Hospital in Juwaideh, in south Amman.
King Abdullah listened to a briefing, attended by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Huneiti, on the hospital’s capacities and the Royal Medical Services’ development plans.
His Majesty toured the 6,700 square meter facility, which has a capacity of 105 beds, Petra news agency reported.
The hospital includes emergency, operations, internal diseases, intensive care, and radiation wards, as well as several specialized clinics.
For his part, Major General Yousef Huneiti inaugurated the buildings of Al Hussein Secondary School for Boys affiliated with the Directorate of Military Education and Culture in Al Quwaira region in Aqaba.
The opening of the buildings is part of the Jordanian Armed Forces' keenness to provide the best professional level of outstanding education in military schools across the country.
Huneiti opened three new buildings, which consist of 24 classrooms. They house modern and specialized scientific computer laboratories.
The Al Hussein Secondary School for Boys, established in 1946, is the first military school in Jordan.
