The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud met in Riyadh on Tuesday with Chairman of US Joint Chiefs of Staff General Joseph F. Dunford and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, they discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries and the latest developments in the region, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
Saudi Arabia’ Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior also met on Tuesday with the Chairman of US Joint Chiefs of Staff General Joseph F. Dunford and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, they discussed ways of strengthening the coordination of joint cooperation between the Kingdom and the United States of America in a number of areas of common interest, particularly in the security field, and reviewed the latest developments in the Middle East and efforts being exerted towards them.
Giving effect to the order of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the supreme commander of all military forces, Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense decorated in his office the Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff General Joseph Dunford with King Abdulaziz medal of the excellent rank.
Also during their meeting, they reviewed areas of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially in the military field, in addition to the developments of
Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz separately met with the United Nations (UN) Envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmad.
During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in Yemen and the exerted efforts in this regard. The Saudi Deputy Crown Prince stressed the Kingdom’s support for the UN efforts aiming to reach a peaceful solution in Yemen.
