“Tuwaiq 3” Joint Air Exercise Concludes in Saudi Arabia

The Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), represented by the Royal Bahrain Air Force, concluded Sunday its participation in the joint air exercise “Tuwaiq 3”.

The Saudi Air Force hosted the two-week military drill at Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Air Base in the central sector, with the participation of ten  countries, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

The joint air exercise “Tuwaiq 3” aims to raise the level of operational and combat readiness, and enhance preparedness to stave off potential risks, through exchanging expertise and carrying out air transport and tactical airdrop missions.

In another development, the Education and Training Authority (ETA) of the Ministry of National Guard in Saudi Arabia, headed by the Director of Operations Department of ETA, Brigadier General Theeb bin Misfer bin Safran, visited the National Guard Fort camp in Bahrain.

The Bahrain National Guard Officers conveyed the greetings of National Guard Commander General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and National Guard Staff Director, Lieutenant General Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Khalifa to the Saudi delegation.

The meeting stressed the strong bilateral relations and discussed ways of enhancing military cooperation.

The delegation was briefed on the tasks and duties of the National Guard and its modern training methods.

The Head of the delegation praised the efforts of the National Guard and its role in strengthening the Bahrain-Saudi Arabia relations, through cooperation and exchanging expertise.
