Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and on his behalf, Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Minister of the National Guard, will inaugurate the “Riyadh Global Medical Biotechnology Summit 2023”, which will be organized by the Ministry of the National Guard, represented by Health Affairs, from 25 to 26 January, 2023.

The summit aims to consolidate the position of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a global gateway to medical biotechnology, through building global partnerships for medical biotechnology, and creating programs to develop the national pharmaceutical industry, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The summit also aims at bringing together the key local and international players in biotech R&D and industry (RDI) and to formulate what will be the Riyadh Declaration for Biotechnology in order to make the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia a gateway to thriving biotechnology.

The summit will bring together thought leaders in the field to push the boundaries of the existing thinking and practice and propose innovative models and initiatives that will impact the country, the region and the rest of the world with direct impact on health and economy.
