Zamil Steel Construction Company, a key subsidiary of Saudi-based Zamil Industrial Investment Company, has joined hands with SAMI Land Services to break ground on its new industrial complex located at Al Kharj in Saudi Arabia.
The partnership with the key unit of Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) marks a significant step forward for the company’s strategic expansion and collaboration with the defence sector, said Zamil Industrial Investment Company in its filing to Saudi bourse Tadawul.
SAMI Land aims to build and enhance local industrial capabilities, as well as developing national talents to offer products and services of high quality in the field of land systems.
The ground breaking ceremony was held in the presence of Bander Al Zamil, Vice Chairman of Zamil Industrial, and Mohammed Al Hodaib, Executive Vice President of SAMI Land.
On 10 December, Zamil Steel Construction Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Zamil Industrial Investment Company, has been awarded a contract worth SAR 574.9 million ($153 million) by SAMI Land Services for the construction of an industrial complex to develop, design, and manufacture land defense systems in Al-Kharj, central Saudi Arabia.
The scope of work includes all work necessary to construct the manufacturing facilities, utility buildings, administrative offices, and outdoor areas, as well as structural, civil, finishing, and MEP works. The company will supply HVAC products and services, insulated panels, steel structures, and insulation materials.
