Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz attended in Riyadh Monday the ceremony inaugurating the National Defense University, and the graduation ceremony of students at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College.

Prince Khalid was received by Deputy Minister of Defense Prince Abdulrahman bin Muhammad bin Ayyaf and several other officials. The National Anthem was played, and a photo was taken of the Minister with the University’s faculty members.

Prince Khalid then signed the inauguration plaque of the National Defense University, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

Saudi Chief of the General Staff Fayyadh Al-Ruwaili delivered a speech in which he thanked Prince Khalid for his patronage of the ceremony inaugurating the National Defense University, “which marks a new phase and a bright start toward a professional military education in the Kingdom”.

Prince Khalid was given a presentation on the history of the Command and Staff College, its achievements since its establishment, its current academic activities, and initiatives to transform it into the National Defense University, to achieve the Ministry of Defense’s development goals.

He then honored the graduates and took a photo with them.
