Kuwait’s Army Chief-of-Staff, Lieutenant General Bandar Al-Muzain stressed on Sunday the importance of taking all necessary measures to enable Army units to fully execute their tasks and duties. He highlighted the need to address and overcome any obstacles that may hinder the implementation of military plans, programs and strategies, while also focusing on ways to develop them.
According to a General Staff press release, the Kuwaiti top brass aforementioned remarks came after chairing a Defense Council meeting, where he praised the official visit made by First Deputy Prime Minister, Defense Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, to the United Arab Emirates.
The visit was seen as a significant step in strengthening military cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the areas of training, military technology and enhancing the readiness of the Armed Forces, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
Earlier last month, Kuwait’s Army Chief emphasized the wise leadership’s dedication to following up on the affairs and conditions of the members of the Armed Forces and ensuring their readiness and preparedness.
He said they are “the nation’s shields and the first to answer the call of duty in defending its security, stability, and the safety of its territory”.
This came in a press statement issued by the General Staff following a recent inspection visit by Muzain to the 26th Al-Sour Mechanized Brigade, where he was received by the Commander of the Land Forces Brigadier General Fahad Abdullah, the Commander of the 63rd Mechanized Infantry Battalion and several officers of the Brigade.
Muzain praised the efforts of the armed forces personnel for their competence, ability and readiness to carry out various tasks and duties, which are the result of continuous training and qualification.
He wished the members of the armed forces continued success and urged them to give their utmost for the protection of the nation, remaining loyal to their oath and pledging to listen and obey HH the Amir, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and HH the Crown Prince.
The visit began with a detailed explanation of the key duties of the 26th Al-Sour Mechanized Brigade and the nature of the tasks they perform. Muzain also toured several facilities within the brigade. Muzain also inspected the Sabah Joint Command Group, where he was received by the Commander of the group and several officers.
During the visit, he was briefed on the nature of the tasks and duties of the Sabah Joint Command Force, as well as the level of readiness and preparedness of its personnel.
The statement highlighted the strong coordination and joint military cooperation between the ministries of defense and interior, as demonstrated by their execution of many joint tasks and training exercises. (Source & Photo © Kuwait’s General Staff/KUNA)
