Harris Awarded has been awarded $20 million in orders from the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) to modernize defense force communications for several Middle East and North African (MENA) nations.

The orders were received under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program.

Harris will provide Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System (SINCGARS) vehicular radios, which will deliver real-time mobile command and control of armored assets over secure voice and data communication links. The Harris SINCGARS radio serves as the secure voice communications backbone for ground forces in more than 30 countries.

“The Harris radio communication systems offer robust command and control capabilities and will serve as a force multiplier for front-line, armored vehicles,” said Chris Young, President, Harris Communication Systems.
