Morocco Receives First C-27J Aircraft

Alenia Aeronautica, a unit of Italy's Finmeccanica delivered on July 7 the first of four C-27J tactical transport aircraft ordered by Morocco, Al Defaiya learned.

Morocco placed its order, valued at about 130 million euros ($163.8 million) in September 2008, becoming Alenia's first non-NATO C-27J customer.
Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Romania and the U.S. have ordered the C-27J, which has also been selected by Slovakia.
Alenia has delivered 34 aircrafts to-date, including 12 to Italy and 10 to Greece
