Rear Admiral Saif Nasser Al Rahbi, Commander of Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) received in his office at Al Murtafa’a Garrison Tuesday Vice Admiral Ovais Ahmed, Commander of the Navy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The two sides reviewed fields of the existing maritime cooperation between the two navies and exchanged views on several matters of common interest, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.
The meeting was attended by Commodore Tarik Issa Al Ra’eesi, RNO Senior Staff Officer, RNO Officers and the Military Attaché at the Pakistani Embassy in Muscat.
The Pakistani guest also visited the Maritime Security Centre (MSC) Tuesday, accompanied by Commander of Royal Navy of Oman (RNO).
Upon the guest’s arrival, he was received by Commodore Mohammed Hamoud Al Zedjali, Head of the MSC.
The guest toured the Centre’s facilities and viewed its latest equipment and technologies. He was also briefed on the tactical roles and tasks carried out by the Centre within its national duties, as it coordinates with relevant authorities in search and rescue missions and the safety of the maritime environment.
