Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs H.E. Dr. Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah met with Commander of the Army of the Republic of Lebanon H.E. General Joseph Aoun in Doha Monday (photo).
They reviewed military relations between the two countries and means of enhancing them, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.
The meeting was attended by Chief-of-Staff of Qatar Armed Forces H.E. Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem and a number of senior officers of Qatar Armed Forces.
For his part, the Chief-of-Staff of Qatar Armed Forces also met with Commander of the Lebanese Armed Forces H.E. General Joseph Aoun on the occasion of his visit to the country.
During the meeting, they reviewed military relations between the two countries, and ways of enhancing and developing them, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.
The meeting was attended by a number of senior officers in the Qatari armed forces.
On Sunday, the Lebanese Army announced via Twitter that “the Armed Forces Commander, General Joseph Aoun, has left Beirut heading to the State of Qatar, at the invitation of his counterpart, Chief-of-Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces, Lieutenant-General Pilot Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem.”
