Turkish leading land systems manufacturer, Otokar was awarded a $30 million contract from abroad. The contract is for COBRA armored tactical vehicle, APV armored tactical vehicle and 4x4 soft skinned tactical vehicles including spare parts and training. Delivery is scheduled to be in 6 months.
Otokar also signed an ARMA contract this past week, believed to be with a Gulf country.Mr. Serdar Gorguc, Otokar General Manager said; "We are delighted with the recent interest in our armored vehicles. Last week we were awarded a $10,6 million contract for our newest 6x6 ARMA armored vehicle. And today we are happy to announce that Otokar received a new contract valued $30 million from abroad. These are the signs of the trust and confidence shown to Otokar armored vehicles."
The order includes different types and configuration of Otokar vehicles. 4x4 COBRA weapon platform, 4x4 APV Personnel Carrier and Ambulance, and 4x4 tactical vehicles for personnel carrier and workshop are the main types to be delivered.
