Dubai has pushed back until at least end-2011 the opening date of the passenger terminal at its giant Al Maktoum International airport in Jebel Ali, which was originally due to be launched in March 2011

, Middle East Economic Digest (MEED) reported.

The terminal's opening has been delayed "until at least" the fourth quarter and "remains under review," MEED cites a Dubai Airports spokesman as saying.

The reason for the delay is unclear, MEED said.
