The Dubai Air Show team is making a strong presence at the Paris Air Show (20-26 June) to showcase the successful development of the aerospace industry in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the country celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.

Running from 13 to 17 November 2011 at the city’s Airport Expo, the Dubai Air Show is the foremost aerospace event in the Middle East and the fastest growing in the world.

November’s Dubai Air Show will highlight the rapid development and sustained growth of the UAE’s aerospace industry within the short span of 40 years, and is set to be the biggest yet, with up to 1,000 exhibitors expected from 50 countries and more than 55,000 trade visitors.

Alison Weller, Managing Director of F&E Aerospace, said: “The Dubai Air Show really reflects the UAE’s development in aerospace over the last 40 years, with the percentage of UAE exhibitors rising from just five percent at the very first show in 1989, to 35% of exhibitors expected at this year’s show.

“We are very privileged to represent our UAE home base here at Paris and celebrate its 40th anniversary by showcasing its flourishing aerospace industry.”

JetEx is one such successful UAE company, which is headquartered in Dubai and offers flight support services across the world, including flight plans, landing permits, etc. It recently expanded its operations to France, where it operates a Fixed Base Operation (FBO) at Paris Le Bourget, Europe’s busiest private airport, offering clients check-in and lounge amenities for their business travel.

“Emirates Airline is another UAE company that showcases the country’s aerospace development and, hopefully, it will be saving its order announcements for later in the year at the Dubai Air Show - another reason why the event cannot be missed,” she added.

The Dubai Air Show is organized under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Actium, Vice President & Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and in association with Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Dubai Airports and the UAE Armed Forces.
