Clarion-Defense Services Marketing Council Sign MoU
16.12.2011 UAE
Clarion Events Middle East signed a strategic MoU with the UAE-based Defense Services Marketing Council (DSMC) to help build the reputation of its defense events.
DSMC is an exclusive collaborative organization of business development, public relations and marketing executives who represent defense, security & aerospace-related companies and service providers seeking to do business in the Middle East.
The MoU will enable Clarion to target a concise and specific group of delegates and companies in the region to participate at the relevant defense events including the upcoming Maritime Security and Surveillance Conference.
The collaborative agreement aims to form a partnership to jointly recognize the dynamic model pioneered by the council’s incubation of innovative marketing alliances and partnerships across the region which has led to international defense, security and aerospace companies growing revenue successfully, said its top official.
Joanna Edwards, Portfolio Director, Clarion Events ME, said its main objective is to establish a portfolio of specialist, high-profile events that deliver real value to its military and industry partners across the region.
DSMC has strong relationships with influential individuals and organizations in the Defense industry, which will bring strength to our conferences and exhibitions.
She said DSMC was an event partner for the Maritime Security and Surveillance Conference to be held at the Armed Forces Officers Club and Hotel in Abu Dhabi from January 29 to 31.
According to Edwards, the signing of the MoU also announces Clarion’s membership with the council that will allow the company to attend its monthly gatherings hosted by other members and even host an event of their own.
Matthew Cochran, Founder & Chairman, Defense Services Marketing Council, said: “We are very pleased to have signed this deal with Clarion to benefit our members with a key partner that organizes more than 200 events annually across the globe in high-value difficult-to-reach markets.'
“We are finding new ways to offer specialized services and solutions for our members and associates to include our newly launched DTV for defense, aerospace and security-related photography, TV & film solutions in the Middle East,” he added.
