BAE Systems is showcasing armored vehicles in the Middle East for the first time, as well as the latest in defense and security technology and innovation during IDEX, the tri-service defense exhibition in Abu Dhabi (17-21 February 2013).
“BAE Systems is dedicated to supporting the UAE with all its current and future defense and security requirements and IDEX provides the ideal platform to demonstrate our capabilities and meet with our industrial partners,” said Ben Bridge, Managing Director, BAE Systems Middle East and Africa.
“Abu Dhabi is our regional hub and we are committed to long term, sustainable programs with customers in the region, including UAE industry and academia in line with the governments’ 2030 Vision,” he added.
At IDEX, BAE Systems’ stand is featuring full size vehicles of the Bradley Fighting Vehicle, an integral part of U.S. infantry operations and a battle-proven, continuously-improved, multi-role platform, in its first appearance in the region, as well as the RG35 mine resistant ambush protected vehicle.
The LEMUR30 remote weapon system is exhibited on both the BAE Systems and Abu Dhabi Mar stands, whilst BAE Systems Detica is displaying the latest in security protection, including NetReveal, for intelligence led investigations, and CyberReveal, which counters the advanced persistent threat in cyberspace.
Demonstrating BAE Systems’ strengths in working in partnership with other companies, BAE Systems’ products are showcased on other stands, including International Golden Group, Tawazun, Abu Dhabi Mar (NAVDEX) and Military Industries Corporation (AVF).
In addition, a full scale replica of a Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jet is in the outside display and BAE Systems’ revolutionary helmet mounted display system is exhibited on the Eurofighter stand.
