ADASI Main Sponsor of IDEX Unmanned Systems Area

The International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) announced that Abu Dhabi Autonomous Systems Investments (ADASI), a Tawazun Holding subsidiary, will be the principal sponsor for the Unmanned Systems Area at IDEX 2015, taking place from February 22nd -26th, 2015.
ADASI is the first in the UAE to deliver a comprehensive range of services that span the entire continuum of autonomous systems. The announcement has been made post a signing ceremony at the recent Dubai Airshow in Dubai World Central (DWC).
“IDEX is widely recognized as the world’s leading defence dedicated exhibition and in order to produce an event that consistently exceeds expectations, forming the right partnerships is essential,” said Saleh Al Marzooqi, IDEX CEO.
“The announcement of ADASI becoming the principal sponsor for the upcoming exhibition represents exactly that. ADASI participated in IDEX 2013 and building on this experience will not only benefit our relationship with key stakeholders but will help deliver a better showcase for the thousands in attendance. ADASI’s involvement in IDEX 2015 comes as great news and will certainly give a significant boost to the capital’s defence credentials worldwide,” he added.

“Our involvement in the Unmanned Systems Area at IDEX 2013 produced very positive feedback for ADASI. We are therefore very happy to participate in bringing an improved and enhanced Unmanned Systems Area to IDEX 2015 - and in particular, bringing the unmanned systems focus into the main exhibition halls.” he added.
As a”Principal Sponsor” for the unmanned Systems Zone, ADASI will have an increased presence at IDEX 2015. As part of its offering, the Abu Dhabi based firm will have its family of tethered aerostat systems, the Al Sabr rotary wing UAV system and the fixed wing, joint program for a Multi-Role Patrol Aircraft (MPA) featured at IDEX 2015.
IDEX is organised by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company in coordination with the UAE Armed Forces GHQ. IDEX 2013 was the largest event in its two decade history with 80,000 visitors attending the event where 1,112 exhibiting companies were hosted from 59 countries. One of IDEX’s offering is the Naval Defence Exhibition, (NAVDEX) running alongside it which doubled in size since its inception. Over 80 exhibitors participating in NAVDEX 2013 where the UAE Armed Forces signed 55 defence contracts worth a collective 14 billion AED.
