H.H. General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of UAE Armed Forces, and Prime Minister of Malaysia, Mohammad Najib Tun Haji Abdul Razak (photo), attended the conclusion of the joint military exercise Nimr Al Sahra 2014

(Desert Tiger 2014) staged at the Zayed Military City in Abu Dhabi by UAE Armed Forces and Malaysian Armed Forces earlier this week.

The joint military training war game reflects the interest of the UAE and Malaysian leaders in expanding the avenues of bilateral cooperation in implementing their common vision for exchanging expertise and experience, bolstering security and stability, backing international efforts for establishing regional and international peace.

After the national anthems of UAE and Malaysia were sung, H.H. the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and the Malaysian prime minister toured the training field in an open-top vehicle to inspect the formations of tanks, artillery, armored personnel carriers and the lines of the soldiers stationed in place.

Seven U.A.E. Air Force aircraft symbolizing the seven emirates of the UAE federation staged a highly professional aerobatic show forming the national flag of UAE.

Also present at the closing ceremony of the exercise were H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Mrs. Rosmah Mansor, wife of the Malaysian prime minister, Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Transport Department and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority, Dr. Hadef bin Jowan Al Dhahiri, Minister of Justice, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Bawardi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense of UAE, Ahmed Juma Al Za'abi, Deputy Minister for Presidential Affairs, Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouie, Secretary-General of the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi, Saeed Eid Al Ghafli, Chairman of the Department of Municipal Affairs, Lt. General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of UAE Armed Forces, and high ranking military Commanders from both countries.
