08.04.2015 UAE
The Abu Dhabi-based Tawazun group will participate at the LAAD International Defense and Security Exhibition due to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from April 14th-17th, WAM news agency reported.
Tawazun CEO, Saif Mohammed Al Hajeri (photo), said, the company would take part within the UAE’s stand at the show, adding that it would be an opportunity to exchange views and get acquainted with the latest technology in this field. He said this would allow the company to reach more markets in the world.
“This participation is also a chance for us to sign deals for joint projects which allow us to attract technology and investment to the UAE,” he said.
He said partnerships with global companies would also ensure training for national manpower and support the UAE in its plans to build a defense industrial base.
He noted that Brazil is one of the UAE’s key economic and trade partners and that it possesses great capabilities in the defense industry. "This show is also a chance for Tawazun to highlight its latest products and services for industrialists and investors seeking business in the UAE," he said.
A large number of global firms are taking part in the show which covers industrial products in security, defense and military sectors.
Tawazun was created in 2007 to develop ventures through industrial partnerships and strategic investments that add value to the UAE’s industrial manufacturing sector across a number of areas: defense & aerospace, automotive, munitions, metals and technology.
Tawazun has established itself as an active industrial investor both locally and internationally by partnering with a hand-picked selection of world-class market leaders to build skills, expertise, products and systems in the UAE.
Tawazun’s investment strategy is designed to drive change within the marketplace, while its aim is to inspire emerging companies by providing strong and consistent support to aid their future expansion.
