Marillyn Hewson, Chairman, President and CEO of global technology leader Lockheed Martin, took time out during a recent visit to the UAE to congratulate Emirati students who participated in a knowledge-sharing training program at the company’s Center for Innovation and Security Solutions in Masdar City.
The Center, which celebrated its first full year of operations this month, serves as a model for international government, industry, and academic collaboration to provide Emirati students with world-class training and skill development.
Speaking about the training course, Azza Salem Al Bakr, a student participant from Masdar Institute said, “The course helped me develop the modeling and simulation skills needed to analyze aerospace missions and visualize dynamic datasets. I have always been an aviation enthusiast and receiving the opportunity to train on a flight simulator at Lockheed Martin was a dream come true.”
Headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, Lockheed Martin is a global security and aerospace company that – with the addition of Sikorsky – employs approximately 126,000 people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products and services.
