The 5th Middle East Missile and Air Defense Conference (MEMAD 2016) will take place on October 11 & 12, 2016, at the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR) in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Since its inception in 2008 under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, MEMAD has been the premier regional conference on integrated air and missile defense, focusing on cruise and ballistic missile threats. Recognized as the most important regional meeting of air defenders, MEMAD 2016 will address the latest developments in IAMD at the design, integration, planning and operational levels, as well as explore key elements of theatre-based AMD at inner- and mid-tier defense, and layering sensor and shooter networks.

MEMAD 2016 is jointly organized by SEGMA and the ECSSR to enrich the intellectual capital and impact of the meeting in serving regional policymakers, military leaders, air defenders, and key industry partners in integrated air and missile defense (IAMD). MEMAD 2016 will gather some 400 select participants over two days for a series of briefings by international experts and practitioners, extended interactive focus panels, and extensive networking opportunities.

Northrop Grumman, now Platinum Sponsor at MEMAD has enlarged its longstanding participation for the upcoming edition. “We are delighted to again sponsor this important event, hosted by the Emirates Center for Security & Strategic Research, to brief our extensive capabilities and share best practices across the Gulf region,” Walid Abukhaled, Chief Executive, Northrop Grumman Middle East, said.

MEMAD provides networking opportunities to industry partners for reaching out to and engaging with existing and prospective clients. MEMAD offers a range of commercial sponsorship opportunities for companies to position themselves before their core customers and make a business impact directly with decision-makers.
