UAE Chief of Staff Receives Malaysian Chief of Defense Force

Lt. General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi (photo), Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, received the Chief of Defense Force of the Malaysian Armed Forces, General Zulkifeli bin Mohd. Zin, at his office in the Armed Forces General Command on Sunday.

The meeting, which was attended by senior officers, discussed ways of bolstering joint military cooperation, UAE national news agency WAM reported.

General Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr.) Zulkifeli bin Mohd. Zin (born 14 June, 1954, in Pasir Mas) is the 18th and the current Chief of Malaysian Armed Forces since June 2011.

On another development, security and police issues of common concern for the UAE and Senegal and ways of bolstering and promoting relations between the two countries were discussed on Sunday by H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, and Abdoulaye Daouda Diallo, Senegalese Minister of Interior.

Major General Dr. Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary-General of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Major General Mohammed bin Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Assistant Under-Secretary of Resources and Support Services, and a number of officers attended the meeting which took place at the Ministry of Interior in Abu Dhabi.
