Insitu is showcasing its ScanEagle and Integrator unmanned platforms, new search payloads and PED software at IDEX 2017,  the largest defense trade exhibition in the Middle East region, currently taking place (19 to 23 February) at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), United Arab Emirates (UAE).

“We see a growing interest from countries in the Middle East and North Africa to significantly expand their unmanned capabilities,” said Suzanne McNamara, Vice President of Business Development for Insitu.

“IDEX is an exciting stage for our newest technologies, ISR capabilities and maritime expertise,” she added.

The Insitu stand is displaying full-scale models of the company’s ScanEagle and Integrator unmanned aircraft, with demonstrations available for supporting technologies including:

  • Redkite: An innovation in development that is the first ever wide area motion imagery payload for the Integrator platform. Redkite can image a city-sized area (more than 12 square kilometers) all at once—detecting, tracking and recording all significant movers within the scene. It also stores up to eight hours of this geo-tagged mission data on onboard solid state drives (SSDs).
  • ViDAR: The only maritime surface search payload with automatic target finding on a group two unmanned platform, ViDAR continuously scans the ocean in a 180-degree arc in front of the air vehicle, dramatically increasing the detection area.
  • ICOMC2: Insitu’s intuitive ground control software system capable of simultaneous command and control of multiple unmanned vehicles and payloads. It enables Insitu’s product line to integrate with other C4ISR systems.
  • Tacitview: Motion imagery media exploitation workstation software that enables a next generation processing, exploitation and dissemination (PED) experience.
