UAE Chief-of-Staff Meets Jordanian Counterpart

Lt. General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi (photo), Chief-of- Staff of the UAE Armed Forces received in his office at the General Command of the UAE Armed Forces headquarters, Lieutenant General Mahmoud Freihat, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff of the Jordanian Armed Forces and his accompanying delegation.

 

They discussed issues of mutual interest, especially topics related to the military field and ways to enhance them between the two fraternal countries, according to Emirates News Agency WAM.

 

Meanwhile, King Abdullah II of Jordan left the UAE Thursday after an official visit to the country.

 

He was seen off at the Presidential Flight by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces۔

 

King Abdullah was also seen off by H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court; Ahmed Juma Al Za’abi, Deputy Minister for Presidential Affairs; Sultan bin Saeed Al Badi Al Dhaheri, Minister of Justice and head of the honorary mission accompanying the King of Jordan; Shamma bint Suhail Faris Al Mazrui, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, and Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazroui, Secretary- General of the Executive Council.

 

On Friday, Pakistan’s President Mamnoon Hussain met in Islamabad with Jordan’s King Abdullah II, who arrived to Pakistan Thursday evening on a two-day official visit, Jordanian News Agency Petra reported.

 

During the meeting, they discussed means of enhancing relations between the two countries in various fields, and reviewed regional and international issues of common interests.
