From 23 to 25 February 2020, Nexter group is presenting its digital and defense robotics solutions at the UMEX exhibition taking place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Nexter is represented at the UMEX exhibition by its subsidiary Nexter Robotics, and its Training and Digital Global Solutions (DGS) entities. During this exhibition dedicated to UAVs, robotics and military digital solutions, Nexter eyes to promote its digital offer and its innovation capabilities.

For nearly 25 years, Nexter teams have been working closely with the UAE land forces, especially in the fields of armored vehicles (LECLERC MBT program), artillery and ammunition. The aim now is to strengthen these partnerships with innovative solutions that meet the specific operational needs of the United Arab Emirates’ army.

The three entities (Robotics, Training and DGS) present at the show are exhibiting:

  • NERVA© Robots: Nexter Robotics is exhibiting a version of the NERVA© LG (photo) with associated kits on its stand. The versatility and modularity of the NERVA© robot family offer to users excellent responsiveness in operation. Since their launch, NERVA© products have been a great commercial success. The French Army has acquired 56 robots in the frame of the SCORPION program. Similarly, the Canadian Army is about to receive 88 robots ordered in March 2019. Finally, Nexter Robotics is continuing to sell robots for export, particularly to Special Forces and intervention units.
  • Training Modules: Nexter Training is showing two immersive simulation modules. The first one, Virtual Operation Training (VOT), provides gunners a virtual training to use the CAESAR© artillery system. The second one, Virtual Maintenance Training (VMT), trains operators in the maintenance and repair of P20 guns.
  • The FINDMP© System: DGS is installed on the stand of International Golden Group (IGG), partner of Nexter based in Abu Dhabi. FINDMP© is an operations planning, preparation and monitoring tool compatible with any Battle Management System (BMS). It is a joint forces system that can be used at all levels of decision-making, from section to staff level. FINDMP© was, amongst others, acquired by the French Army in order to test it before a possible deployment in the forces. DGS will carry out demonstrations of the FINDMP© system in its PC version.

Nexter, the leading French land defense company and third European player in the ammunition sector is part of the KNDS Group. It is dedicated to meet the needs of the French land forces and of Nations on an international scale.

The scope of Nexter’s business includes as well the supply of weapon systems and ammunition for air and naval forces. Nexter also provides systems and protection solutions in the field of homeland security. The group continues to apply its international development policy with 52% of the order intake in 2018 intended for the export market.

In France, Nexter is fully committed to meeting the objectives of the SCORPION program, through the upgrade of the Leclerc tank and the development of the future VBMR Griffon and EBRC Jaguar vehicles within the temporary business venture between Nexter, Thales and Arquus, as well as the Lightweight VBMR.

The group’s range of products also includes ARAVIS®, TITUS® and VBCI armored vehicles, CAESAR®, TRAJAN® and 105LG1 artillery systems, smart ammunition (BONUS), robots, many equipment, as well as customer service, support and revaluation.
