Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, UAE Minister of State for Defence Affairs, met Wednesday in Abu Dhabi (photo) Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar, Chief of Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force.

The meeting reviewed the cooperation relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and aspects of their development to serve the common interest.

Ways to strengthen and develop joint military and defense cooperation were also discussed, UAE national news agency WAM said.

In another development, Major General Saleh bin Mejren Al Ameri, Commander of Joint Operations at the UAE Ministry of Defence, met with Vice Admiral Brad Cooper, Commander of U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.

During the meeting, which was attended by a number of Ministry of Defence officers, the two sides reviewed aspects of cooperation between their two countries in various military and defence fields, in addition to ways to support and develop them to achieve further coordination and joint cooperation.
