Major General Pilot Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Force, inaugurated the first course on the fundamentals of artificial intelligence (AI) at the Zayed II Military College.
This course is a result of cooperation with the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI). It was designed to meet the requirements of the UAE Ministry of Defence, focusing on preparing its members in traditional programming, fundamental concepts and applications of AI, machine learning principles, and its types.
The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces emphasised the UAE’s commitment, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to equip the nation's youth with the best future skills, UAE national news agency WAM reported.
He affirmed that this course aligns with the UAE’s fifty principles, particularly the fourth principle, highlighting that future growth relies on continuous investment in the skills of human capital. Additionally, it aligns with the seventh principle in cementing the country’s digital, technological, and scientific excellence, while appreciating the institutional partnership with MBZUAI.
