Intersec to Tackle Security Trends
11.10.2010 Security
At the 13th edition of Intersec Trade Fair & Conference (Dubai, 16-18 January 2011), exhibitors and visitors will enjoy an in depth look at key trends in the fire & rescue, homeland security, safety & health and commercial security industries and where they are headed.
The conference running alongside the exhibition will concentrate on such key elements as commercial security and access control and will look at future expected trends across the entire spectrum of the industry.
Having increased from US$635m in 2008, the fire & rescue market is growing and is estimated to double by 2013.
Security, technology and appliances are estimated to amount to US$2.1bn with business expected to increase by 50% until 2013.
In the UAE alone, spending on homeland security is set to double from US$5.5bn to US$10bn in the next ten years and is ranked in fourth place worldwide in terms of total arms expenditure.
After its resounding inaugural event at last year's Intersec in Dubai, the UAE International Fire Fit Championships will return once more. This year the championship has invited participation from all 7 Emirates as well as the GCC countries - Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Bahrain, and as such, promises to be one of the key highlights of Intersec 2011. Road shows will also take place across the region prior to the championships.
An indoor Demo Area has been created to provide exhibitors with the option of demonstrating their products/services effectively to visitors on a larger scale and in a more interactive environment. These demonstrations will take place throughout the exhibition as many products and services require more than a booth to fully showcase their characteristics. Exhibitors will demonstrate some of the most sophisticated devices, solutions and services in areas that include biometrics, data protection, surveillance, fire fighting, safety, health and counter-terrorism.
Taking place on the show floor, the Exhibitor Expert Forum will offer exhibitors additional opportunities to reach out to visitors and discuss key insights in the current safety and security markets.
