Qatar’s Ministry of Interior (MoI) has awarded a contract valued at QR196 million ($53.7 million) for building the Rescue Police (Al Fazaa) headquarters, a report said.

The headquarters will be located at the Mesaimeer area behind the Mesaimeer Service Centre, according to the Gulf Times report, which cited a statement from the MoI.

The project featuring six main buildings includes the patrol officers building, officers club and other facilities as well as a mosque.

There will also be a workshop for the repair of vehicles, in addition to security rooms, basement parking and external parking lots to accommodate around 500 vehicles.
