Key Defense Officials Attend Manama Dialogue 2017

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain received at Safriya Palace Commander of the US Central Command General Joseph Votel on the occasion of his visit to Bahrain to participate in the Manama Dialogue 2017, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

HM the King welcomed him, lauding strong and historic relations between Bahrain and the USA mainly in the defense and military cooperation field. He stressed joint keenness to further cement ties between the two friendly countries, praising the role of the US administration in maintaining international peace and security.

British Defense Secretary Gavin Williamson also arrived in Bahrain to take part in the 13th Manama Dialogue Forum 2017. He was welcomed mainly by Defense Minister Lt. General Yusef bin Ahmed Al Jalahma who lauded strong relations between the two friendly countries.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations Major General Ghanim Ibrahim Al Fadhala and Acting Commander of the Royal Bahrain Naval Force Commodore Mohammed Yusef Al Asam.

For his part, the Saudi Assistant Defense Minister was welcomed mainly by Defense Minister Lt. General Yusef bin Ahmed Al Jalahma who wished him a good stay in Bahrain.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations Major General Ghanim Ibrahim Al Fadhala and Acting Commander of the Royal Bahrain Naval Force Commodore Mohammed Yusef Al Asam.

Furthermore, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan General Zubair Mahmood Hayat was welcomed on arrival by mainly Chief of Staff of Bahrain Defense Force Lt. General Dhiab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, in the presence of National Guard Staff Director Major General Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Khalifa and senior BDF officers.

The BDF Chief of Staff welcomed his Pakistani counterpart, lauding deep-rooted relations between the two friendly countries.
