The Bahraini National Guard participated in the joint anti-terrorism drill with the Pakistani Army in Pakistan.
The drill exercise comes in the implementation of the cooperation protocols signed between the National Guard and the Pakistani Army, which is directed by His Highness General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, National Guard Commander.
This drill is an extension of the “Al Badr” drills series, which were previously held in both Pakistan and Bahrain, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
“Al Badr” drills reflect the high levels and precision in implementing anti-terrorism operations, applying military operations in various environments and terrain, combating terrorist threats, activating night operations and tactical movements, and studying several joint military and security field assumptions.
In another development, Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), led Bahrain’s delegation in the meeting of the Supreme Military Committee of the Chiefs of Staff of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Armed Forces held in Doha, Qatar earlier this week.
The meeting discussed ways to develop military cooperation and coordination.
