Special Operations Forces and Homeland Security are doing more things in more places than ever before. They seek ways to tackle a range of security threats worldwide, shore up the resilience of their friends and allies against terrorist and criminal networks, and minimize the need for large-scale military interventions. The importance of Special Operations Forces and Homeland Security is growing spontaneously.
The 13th edition of the Special Operations Forces (SOFEX) Exhibition & Conference is set to take place from 31 October to 03 November 2022.
The event is held, for the first time, at Aqaba Gate Aviation, King Hussein International Airport.
Founded in 1996 by His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan, the Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference (SOFEX) continues to grow edition on edition, acquiring paramount ranking amongst the specialized defense exhibitions.
SOFEX provides an ideal platform to present and demonstrate new and innovative equipment and technologies in order to deliver swift, decisive and effective solutions that will help international Special Operations and Homeland Security decision makers and armed forces maintain the security and safety in their countries, regions and around the world. It is also considered a vital gathering for exchanging views and experiences while strengthening relationships with armed forces, security agencies, governments and key businesses from around the world.
SOFEX is a four-day event that kicks off with a prominent full-day conference that includes a series of comprehensive and topical seminars delivered by top military officials from around the world, tackling a wide range of issues pertinent to current counter-terrorism and homeland security issues.
The exhibition itself continued its evolution into the industry’s most comprehensive and effective networking platform with each edition in terms of an increase in the number of participants that include exhibiting companies, international pavilions and international delegations headed by Ministers of Defense, Chiefs of Staff, Special Operations Commanders and Defense procurement directorates covering land, air and arms and ammunition, as well as numerous business transactions, agreements and impressive deals signed, surpassing expectations each year.
Hosted by the Jordanian Armed Forces, the Middle East Special Operations Conference (MESOC) is held on 31 October under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II. Senior Special Operations Officers and high-level experts from several Arab and Western countries will discuss today’s challenges facing nations worldwide.
Attended by high-ranking military and government officials from across the globe, the conference offers delegates a unique opportunity to meet with senior level personnel across the defense and security sector, where principal topics such as long-term strategic industrial policy and future programs are discussed.
The Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) was established in 2001 by the government of Jordan to ensure that Aqaba’s commercial and cultural prominence continues into the 21st century.
The ASEZ is a low tax, multi-sector development zone that also enjoys duty free status. It offers global investment opportunities in a world class business environment ranging from tourism to recreational services, from professional services to multi-modal logistics, value-added industries, and light manufacturing.
