Oshkosh Defense, and Oshkosh Corporation Company, has received an order from the US Army to carry out recapitalization work on some of its tactical trucks, the Department of Defense stated in a press release.
“Oshkosh Defense was awarded a $24. 4 million contract for recapitalized Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Trucks, Palletized Load System and ten self-recovery winches,” the release noted on Tuesday.
Work on the contract will be performed in Oshkosh, in the US state of Wisconsin with an estimated completion date of August 31, 2018, the Defense Department said.
Meanwhile, Oshkosh Defense was recognized last week at the 23rd Annual Corporate Safety Awards Conference by the Wisconsin Council of Safety in Wisconsin Dells, Wiscosin.
The Corporate Safety Award is given to those that exhibit exemplary safety records and excellence in safety and health. Oshkosh was recognized with this award for two separate manufacturing facilities located in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
The Wisconsin Corporate Safety Awards are co-sponsored by the Wisconsin Safety Council and the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.
