Major General Ammar Atamnia, Commander of the Algerian Land Forces, presided, on Thursday 13th June 2024, the graduation ceremony of the 52nd promotion of the Command and General Staff courses, at the level of the School of Command and General Staff Chahid Hamouda Ahmed.

The new promotion had the honour of bearing the name of Chahid Amirat Abdelkader, the Algerian Ministry of National Defence said in a statement.

During the ceremony, the Commander of the Land Forces followed, in the pedagogical complex, an exhaustive presentation on the activities carried out during the year 2023-2024, as well as on the projects carried out by the trainee officers. At the end, and before signing the school’s Golden book, a tribute was paid to the family of Chahid Abdelkader AMIRAT by the Commander of the Land Forces.

Meantime, the Higher School of Air Chahid El-Tayeb Djabar in Tafraoui/2nd Military Region, also celebrated Thursday, 13th June 2024, the graduation of its new promotions in different specialties and training levels. The ceremony was chaired by Major General Mahmoud Laaraba, Commander of the Algerian Air Forces.

The promotions which had the honour of bearing the name of the Late Moudjahid “Captain Abdelkader TAHRAT” are:

• The 54^th promotion of Career Student Officers
• The 37^th promotion of Command and general Staff Courses
• The 10^th promotion of transport pilot specialization training
• The 08^th promotion of UAV specialization
• The 08^th specialized training promotion “Air traffic controller”
