Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defense Affairs (photo), received Tuesday Major General Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Balawi, Commander of the Joint Peninsula Shield Forces.

Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), attended the meeting.

The Minister commended the efforts of the Joint Peninsula Shield Forces in enhancing joint GCC military cooperation, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

On Wednesday, the Bahraini Minister of Defense Affairs also received the Egyptian military delegation participating in the Joint Bahraini-Egyptian Military Cooperation Committee meeting held in Bahrain, led by Major General Adel Sobhi Mohammed Al Shafei, Assistant Chief of Staff Officer of the Egyptian Armed Forces.

The Minister praised the deep Bahraini-Egyptian relations and cooperation, particularly in the military and defence sectors.

The Egyptian military also visited the Military Museum of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF). Major-General Mohammed Qatami Al Kubaisi, Director of Media and Moral Guidance, accompanied the delegation.

The delegation was briefed on the various halls of the museum that include a variety of historical collectables, military paintings, and models that constitute a documentary archive of Bahraini military history in the modern and contemporary era.
