Egypt’s Commander-in-Chief Receives Chairman of NATO Military Committee

General Mohamed Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, met Sunday with Lieutenant Admiral Rob Bauer, Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, and his accompanying delegation, during their visit to Egypt.

The meeting covered a number of topics of common interest including military cooperation and exchange of experiences between both sides. The meeting was attended by a number of Commanders of the Armed Forces. the Egyptian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces stressed his appreciation for the friendly relations and military cooperation with the NATO Military Committee. He also noted the consensus of visions on various issues and topics, that contribute to supporting the pillars of security and stability in the region.

The Chairman of the NATO Military Committee praised the pivotal role, played by the Egyptian state in achieving security, stability and balance in the region. He also expressed his aspiration to enhance the prospects for cooperation and exchange of experiences between the Egyptian Armed Forces and the NATO Military Committee.
