Chairman of the Jordanian Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Ahmed Huneiti, visited on Tuesday the Drones Directorate, where he was welcomed by its Director.

Huneiti was briefed on the Directorate’s efforts and its role in identifying and providing the Jordanian Armed Forces’ (JAF) requirements for various types of drones in accordance with their operational and technical requirements, in addition to preparing and qualifying the necessary human cadres to meet the operational and sustainability requirements.

Huneiti emphasized that drones are a basic requirement at the current stage, especially in light of the technological and technical development that has cast its shadow on modern warfare and the changes in the strategic environment currently witnessed in the nature of threats in the region.

The Army Chief was also briefed on the drone systems used for tactical and security operations, stressing the need to optimize the use of these systems, Petra news agency reported.

Concluding the visit, Huneiti, in the presence of a number of senior JAF Officers, conveyed the greetings of His Majesty the Supreme Commander to the Directorate's officers, and his pride in the outstanding level and morale they enjoy and their high readiness to carry out the tasks assigned to them.

Meanwhile, an official military source at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) stated that due to the developments, instability, and military escalation in the region, the JAF General Command has placed all formations and units on high alert to counter any attempts that threaten the security and stability of the Kingdom.

According to the source, the General Command is closely monitoring regional developments and has taken the necessary precautions by establishing and supporting frontline troops on border fronts to preserve the homeland.

The source stressed that the JAF formations and units continue to maintain border control and guard against any threats in order to guarantee the safety of people and property. They also maintain the highest levels of operational, training, and logistical readiness, with high vigilance to deal with all circumstances and any emergency event due to the developments in the region.

The source reassured that the Armed Forces are still carrying out their primary mission of defending the homeland from any threat that aims to undermine its security and stability and urged citizens to seek information from official sources rather than spreading rumors and narratives that would cause panic and anxiety.
