Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Deputy Minister of Defense, met in Riyadh Thursday with British Defense Minister, Ben Wallace (photo).
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and joint cooperation in the military and defense field, in addition to discussing issues of common interest and reviewing the efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom to maintain regional and international security and stability, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The meeting was attended by Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant-General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili; Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Hussein Al-Bayari; Military Advisor to the Minister of Defense Major General Eng. Talal bin Abdullah Al-Otaibi; Director General of the Office of the Deputy Minister of Defense Hisham bin Abdulaziz bin Saif; and number of officials.
On the British side, British Ambassador to the Kingdom Neil Crompton; UK Defense Senior Advisor to the Middle East Air Marshal Martin Sammy Sampson; Military Attaché General Patrick O’Donald, and a number of officials were attended.
For his part, Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Saudi National Guard, also received in Riyadh Thursday the United Kingdom’s Secretary of State for Defense Ben Wallace and the accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, they exchanged cordial talks and reviewed aspects of cooperation between the two sides.
The meeting was attended by a number of officials.
In another development, the activities of Al-Kaseh 3 exercise in the Northern Region of the Kingdom were launched Wednesday with the participation of the Royal Saudi Land Forces and the Pakistani Army, in the presence of the Commander of the Northern Region, General Saleh bin Ahmed Al-Zahrani, at the Prince Khalid bin Sultan Command Center.
