The Saudi Ministry of Defense, represented by the General Administration of Strategic Communication at the Ministry’s Agency for Strategic Affairs, has organized the second annual Strategic Communication Forum, in the presence of the Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs, Dr. Khalid bin Hussein Al-Bayari, and the Ministry's Undersecretary for Strategic Affairs Ahmed bin Ali Asiri.
The forum, which was held at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, was opened with a speech by the Director General of the General Administration of Strategic Communication, Abdulrahman bin Sultan Al-Sultan, in which he highlighted the importance of the forum as it is one of the main initiatives to enhance internal communication in the Ministry of Defense, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
Al-Sultan stressed that the annual strategic communication forum at the Ministry of Defense aims to spread and exchange knowledge among the Ministry’s staff in all its sectors concerning the operational model adopted by the Ministry and to discuss the strategic communication plan and strengthen professional relations between those working in the ministry on the communication industry in all its forms to achieve the Ministry's strategic objectives.
Commander of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Director of the National Defense University, Major General Mohammed bin Jadu’ al-Ruwaili, delivered a speech in which he highlighted strategic communication, considering that it is an important element and a mainstay in military education.
The forum saw several dialogue sessions presented by various employees of the Ministry of Defense and all branches of the armed forces, who are specialists in media, communication, and planning for communication campaigns.
