Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, met Tuesday with the Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Sheikh Ahmed Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) Forum in Riyadh, the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
During the meeting they discussed relations between the two brotherly countries and several issues of common interest.
Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi Minister of Defense, and Kuwaiti Ambassador to the Kingdom Sheikh Sabah Al-Nasser Al-Sabah were also present in the meeting.
Furthermore, Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz separately met in Riyadh with Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Ahmad Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
During the meeting, they discussed the strength of relations between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. They also discussed bilateral cooperation in the defense field and ways to enhance it, along with coordination of joint military action. They went over the most prominent regional and international issues and the efforts exerted towards them.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Defense Prince Abdurrahman bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf, Chief of General Staff Gen. Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, and several other officials from both sides, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the State of Kuwait arrived in Riyadh Monday. At the Royal Terminal at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, he was received by Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Minister of Defense, who welcomed him to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister was also received by the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Kingdom Sheikh Sabah Nasser Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassem Mohammed Albudaiwi.
In another development, the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), received Monday Lieutenant General Eid bin Awad Al Shalawi, Commander of the GCC Unified Military Command.
The officials discussed topics related to joint Gulf military action, which strengthens the GCC course in order to achieve the aspirations of the peoples of GCC countries, in accordance with the visions and directives of the leaders of the GCC countries.
The Secretary General praised the valuable steps made by the Unified Military Command in fully activating the tasks and duties assigned to it, and the coordination between the armed forces of the GCC countries, which contributed to achieving security and stability for the GCC countries.
