Harris Corporation, an international communications and information technology company, has received a $49 million order to provide a nation in the Middle East with integrated tactical communications.
Harris is providing this nation with advanced Falcon ® high-frequency, very-high-frequency, and multiband radios. These radios will be tightly integrated with vehicular intercom systems in support of a command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance network. The network will support Military and Security Forces.
“This solution will enable this nation to communicate seamlessly across the breadth of the entire brigade combat team,” said Brendan O'Connell, President, International Business, Harris RF Communications.
“Harris Falcon radios are increasingly being integrated into tactical area communication systems that connect headquarters to the field through real-time voice and data and ISR feeds,” he added.
In connection with this order, Harris is supplying the RF-7800H wideband high-frequency radio; RF-7800V Combat Net Radio, RF-7800M Multiband Networking Radio and RF-7800I Intercoms Systems - all part of the Falcon III® family.
