Oman’s Chief of Staff Receives South Africa’s Army Chief

Lt General Ahmed bin Harith al Nabhani, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), received in his office at Mu’askar Al Murtafa’a on Monday Lt General Lindile Yam, Chief of Army of South Africa, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.

During the meeting they exchanged viewpoints and discussed matters of common concern. The meeting was attended by Major General Matar bin Salim bin Rashid al Bulushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman (RAO), senior SAF officers and the South African non-resident Military Attaché.

Lt General Al Nabhani also received on Monday General Joseph L Votel, Commander of the US Central Command.  The meeting was attended by Air Commodore Maktoum bin Salim al Mazroi’ei, SAF Assistance Chief of Staff for Training and Joint Exercises.

Both sides exchanged viewpoints on a number of matters of common concern.

Lt General Al Nabhani also received a delegation from the National Defence College of India led by Major General B Singh, Senior Faculty at the College. The two sides exchanged several matters of common concern, particularly in the academic and training aspects between the two friendly countries. The meeting was attended by Air Commodore Makatoum bin Salim al Mazro’ee, Assistant SAF Chief of Staff for Training and Joint Exercises and the Military Attaché of the Indian Embassy in Muscat.
